Advancing the Common Good IMPACT 2011
In 2009, United Way of Central Ohio established a comprehensive agenda for community change organized around nine, ten-year Bold Goals. These goals represent both community and UWCO aspirations for critical issues related to education, income, health and home that together, affect all of our futures and advance the common good. We have used these goals as our roadmap and as a rallying point for building community support and engagement in UWCO's work.
With that in mind, we are delighted to share the first of a series of annual reports that tracks key leading indicators relative to our community's success. Click on the link below for access to the full report or any of its components.
Advancing the Common Good--Impact 2011 was produced in collaboration with Community Research Partners. The report provides a big picture perspective in terms of how we are doing as a community relative to the accomplishment of the Bold Goals.
In the "Impact-At-A-Glance" section it also provides concrete examples of UWCO's 2010 contributions to those goals. The data points included in the report represent baseline and historical trend data for all UWCO indicators, including those directly related to the Bold Goals.
It is very important to recognize that these indicators are not a simple yardstick of success but rather, represent community level changes to complex systems and provide valuable perspective on the status of our community. Changes in these indicators and progress against the Bold Goals will be measured and shared in future reports.
