I’m Michele, from Columbus.

People sometimes wonder when I sleep because I’m constantly on the go! I can’t help it though, I just genuinely like to be busy and enjoy having a presence in the community.

I like to help people in need as much as I can; whether it’s through volunteering or donating my money. The way I see it, everyone needs help at some point in their lives, and it’s up to us – the whole community – to be there for one another. Right now, there are a lot of individuals and families who don’t know when their next meal will be or where they will sleep at night.

I’m helping people by sorting food at the Mid-Ohio Food Bank, being a volunteer counter at the Community Shelter Board, and giving to United Way of Central Ohio. United Way gives people the tools they need to actually change their lives. And, they’ve connected me with ways I can help.

I give my time and my money. That’s how I LIVE UNITED.
