Celebration of Excellence
United Way of Central Ohio will host our annual awards luncheon, Celebration of Excellence, on Wednesday, May 8 at the Ohio Union at The Ohio State University. The event honors and celebrates our corporate partners and member agencies for their outstanding contributions and efforts that made the 2012 campaign a community-wide success.

Columbus Volunteer Challenge
From Saturday, August 25 through Tuesday, September 11, the City of Columbus and United Way of Central Ohio, along with numerous community partners, brought together more than 20,000 caring community members to make a difference in central Ohio. The challenge will kicked off with Family Day on August 25 and culminated on Tuesday, Sept. 11 with the traditional Community Care Day.

Champion of Children Signature Event 2013
Save the Date! Champion of Children, the community’s comprehensive voice focused on helping children and youth succeed, will hold its 20th Anniversary 2013 Signature Event on Wednesday, February 13, 2013, from 5:30-8:000 p.m. This history-making event will feature a conversational interview with Geoffrey Canada, creator of the Harlem Children’s Zone. The program will conclude with the presentation of the 2013 Champion of Children Individual Award and Nonprofit Organization Award, followed by a reception.
