Guided by the Girl Scout Promise and Law, its mission is to "build girls of courage, confidence and character, who make the world a better place." The Girl Scout Leadership program is supported by caring adults who mentor girls and help them discover a strong sense of self, connect with others in a global community and take action to identify and solve community issues they care about. Girl Scouts of Ohio's Heartland Council Inc. promotes girls' personal growth and leadership development.

In School Scouting/Lunch Bunch Volunteer Opportunity

Delivers pre-set kit programs in grades K-6 during the school day – typically during the lunch and recess periods once per week for about 1 hour at various elementary schools. Volunteer options span 4-6 weeks at a time or the entire school year if you prefer. If you like working with kids and appreciate a “ready-set-go” approach to programs - this is the opportunity for you!
