United Way is committed to listening to the community. We are also committed to helping the community mobilize around education. As part of this work, we are talking to diverse groups across Franklin County in informal gatherings we call Community Conversations. The conversations are an important part of our efforts to listen well, build energy for action, and lay the groundwork for mobilizing people to champion education efforts throughout central Ohio.

The Community Conversations bring people together to talk about their aspirations for our community and for education. What kind of community do we want? What do we want education to be? What barriers stand in the way? What can be done to help? These conversations will help us understand where we are as a community, where we want to be, and what we can  do to get there.

The conversations provide participants with a chance to give voice to their hopes, concerns, and ideas. They also provide valuable information about the community. Information learned  from the Community Conversations will be shared with school districts and  policymakers to give them the data they need to make good decisions.

United Way has already heard from  hundreds of people in our Community Conversations, and now we want to hear from you!  Please add your thoughts to the discussion by answering the question below.
