As the need for services in Central Ohio increases for education, income, health, and housing, United Way of Central Ohio agencies increasingly need to raise additional funds to serve our community. Increasing the capacity of both development and executive staff of UWCO agencies to raise more money by providing fundraising training and best practices is critical to meet these needs. UWCO agencies who actively participate in AFP will learn how to raise more money which will enable them to better serve their clients. This video was recorded Wednesday 7/6/11 to announce a new opportunity enabling all 75 United Way of Central Ohio member agencies to receive one (1) 50% scholarship for the cost of membership in the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP). This scholarship program is provided by UWCO, The Women’s Fund of Central Ohio, Limited Brands Foundation, PNC, Cardinal Health, and the Central Ohio Chapter of AFP.
