United Way has helped transform four homes; two formerly vacant houses, a home repair for a long time homeowner, and later this year, Healthy Neighborhoods, Healthy Families is set to complete its first new build on a vacant lot.
HNHF Realty Collaborative is excited to announce that 762 Carpenter Street was sold in October! This three bedroom, two and-a-half bath home features; KraftMaid cabinets, a tank-less water heater, an energy-efficient furnace and AC unit, new energy-star rated appliances, solar tubes, energy-star rated windows and doors, environmentally-friendly carpet, and low-VOC paint. These amenities not only increase the beauty of the home but help to make it highly efficient and affordable at all times of the year.
On a block, in 2009, where all but 3 houses sat vacant, the transformation of 762 Carpenter has drastically improved not only the aesthetic of the neighborhood but also the perception. At the end of 2010, all the once vacant, blighted houses have been purchased and fully renovated.
