Habitat for Humanity-Greater Columbus recognized United Way of Central Ohio as a 2010 Habitat Cornerstone Partner. 

 

 

In honor of UWCO’s support of the local Habitat program, representatives from UWCO were presented with an award plaque at Habitat’s annual celebration held on May 4^th, 2011.  Cornerstone Partners provide an annual contribution of $75,000 or more in support of Habitat home construction and Habitat’s mission to build affordable homes, empower families, and develop communities.  As a recipient of UWCO’s program investment funding for 2010-2012, Habitat is working in partnership with UWCO to rehabilitate and redevelop abandoned and foreclosed homes in the Near Southside and Weinland Park neighborhoods of Columbus.  Together, Habitat and UWCO are helping to revitalize these neighborhoods and making the dream of homeownership a reality for low-income families in need of safe, decent housing.
