"No Woman, No Cry" Documentary At Wexner Center
Because United Way of Central Ohio knows you want to make a difference both locally and globally.
For hundreds of thousands of women each year, pregnancy is a death sentence. Nearly all maternal deaths are preventable and many are a result of barriers to basic health care, an issue that affects individuals and families in central Ohio and around the world. In fact, United Way of Central Ohio is committed to reducing barriers to accessing health care in order to save lives here in Franklin County.
“No Woman, No Cry” is a gripping documentary directed by Christy Turlington Burns that shares the powerful stories of at-risk pregnant women in four parts of the world, including a prenatal clinic in the United States. A free screening of the documentary will take place Wednesday, April 13 at 7 p.m. in Mershon Auditorium on The Ohio State University campus.
The documentary is presented by OSU College of Public Health, a longtime partner of United Way of Central Ohio, and the Wexner Center for the Arts. A Director’s Dialogue with Ohio State health experts and moderator Andrea Cambern will take place at 8 p.m. immediately following the screening.
