The Breathing Association provides educational and advocacy programs for clean indoor and clean outdoor air, increased access to health care for low income families; and other social and environmental conditions that affect lung health. We serve the community as the leading resource for promoting lung health and preventing lung disease through education, detection, and service. Program activities include lung health outreach and education; in-home education; assistance in addressing barriers to care for individuals with, and at risk of, asthma and Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease; a free lung health clinic and mobile medical van; HEAP, PIP summer cooling/ winter heating services; Residential Energy Assistance Partnership for Health; medical supplies and prescription assistance; social support for those with chronic lung conditions; and community and business based tobacco cessation services.
