Who is YLG?
Celebrating its 20th anniversary, United Way’s Young Leadership Group (YLG) is open to individuals 45 and younger who have the desire to play an important role in setting and implementing agendas for change in Central Ohio. Members invest their time and money to ensure that citizens thrive and our community prospers.
What’s New?
Back in May, a group of YLG members set out to define our current and future needs – and design a structure to support that vision. It started with a clear Mission Statement: To engage the next generation of leaders in Central Ohio through philanthropy, personal growth opportunities and community involvement.
Why should you consider YLG?
YLG offers you the opportunity to leave your mark on the community. So many of us are balancing a full schedule of events in our lives: family, work, volunteering. YLG provides you an opportunity to get involved on your terms: participate through a financial commitment alone, financially support and engage in philanthropic and volunteer opportunities that work in your busy life, or take it one step further and also apply to join the steering committee.
No matter how you participate, YLG provide you an opportunity to leave your mark on the communities that you work in and live in today by supporting the mission of the United Way of Central Ohio. We have a vast network of young professionals that will set the pace for the next generation of leaders.
How do you join YLG?
Whether you’re donating at your workplace, individually or online, it’s easy to join YLG:
- Indicate the desired group(s) on your pledge card or online pledge system
- Complete and submit a Leadership Giving pledge card

Fast Track Program – Become a YLG member immediately while increasing your gift over time:
