We Need You As An Advocate for United Way. Your Voice Can Make a Difference
And we can always use an extra set of advocates.
- Tell your family and friends about United Way and what we do.
- Make a point to learn about and discuss local issues with family and friends – then get involved.
- If you're passionate about education, financial stability, health care and housing issues write a letter to the editor or post a comment on a local blog.
- Wear a LIVE UNITED t-shirt.
- Call, email or visit your elected officials.
- Encourage a person in need to call 2-1-1.
- Register and vote in the next election. Click here for voter registration information
- Request a speaker for your workplace or social club and learn more about how United Way helps advance the common good for people in Central Ohio.
- Volunteer for United Way. We're always looking for people to serve on one of the committees that guide our work. Contact Michelle Vander Stouw, AVP of Planning and Accountability.
- Volunteer for an agency that serves your community. Click here to view the 2-1-1 volunteer information for central Ohio.
