Champion of Children is excited to announce  Patrick Losinski, Executive Director of The Columbus Metropolitan Library, as the individual 2012 Champion of Children,  and Action for Children as the first-ever Champion of Children Nonprofit Organization.

Individual Champion of Children Award: Patrick Losinski

Patrick Losinski has led The Columbus Metropolitan Library in critical literacy initiatives, including the Ready to Read Corps, Raising Readers, Homework Help Centers, Story Time and the largest Summer Reading Club in the U.S.  The Columbus Metropolitan Library is rated the top public library in the country.

Nonprofit Champion of Children Award: Action for Children

Action for Children is praised for the leadership role the organization has played in advancing quality early learning and childhood education efforts throughout central Ohio.
