A Message to Agencies:
United Way of Central Ohio takes seriously its role in contributing to our community's efforts to be prepared to respond in the face of both isolated emergencies that can occur each day as well as large-scale disasters that can overwhelm our community's capabilities to respond over extended periods of time. 2012 marks the second year of the COOP initiative that will help expand planning and preparedness potential among critical human service agencies within our community.
We invite agencies to partner with United Way, Contingency Planners of Ohio, and HandsOn Central Ohio by participating in the Continuity of Operations Planning Initiative in 2012. This planning and capacity building opportunity will allow agencies to identify their organizational capabilities and limitations, and develop a comprehensive plan to ensure uninterrupted delivery of critical services to your clients when an emergency occurs.
This page includes links to detailed information about the 2012 COOP initiative and next steps for interested agencies.
Please review the materials and contact Kelly McLennan at Kelly.mclennan@uwcentralohio.org with any questions.
We are excited to work together with you through this initiative to improve our community's resilience.
Best regards,
